We learn type-3 fraction simplification, which is a combination of the first two types. Here, one part of the fraction—the numerator or the denominator—can clearly be factored into a product using the 10-times table (extended with 11), and the other part of the fraction is divisible without remainder by one factor of that product. Therefore the fraction can be simplified by this common factor.
